What is the difference between proofreading and editing?
PROOFREADING services include: Examining your paper for errors in format, spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization, and spacing. Rewriting is not included. Proofreading generally involves only minor changes in spelling and punctuation.
EDITING services include: Examining your paper for all the above plus checking clarity, tone and consistency of style. This may include some rewriting and rearranging of sentences to produce a clean and refined copy. Editing combines proofreading with revision to enhance the clarity and efficiency of the document.
